Editorial Photography

Editorial photography is simply photography that supports the printed word. That may be either news or advertising. Photographs are used to help describe and sell a product or an idea and to illustrate and enhance a story or report.

They are used widely to make brochures, articles and adverts more visual which in turn gives the reader or viewer a visual perspective of what the article is all about. They serve to make articles more attractive to readers and in the case of magazines or newspapers they help attract readers to buy the product.

ADS photographers can produce images that support any marketing idea in answer to a specific photographic brief. We can produce images to accompany feature articles in newspapers, magazines and websites, books and text for company brochures.

Whatever the subject matter we are able to source talent and props if required or work with the clients own resources. We can carry out photography on location or in our studio using flash lighting and a variety of props and accessories.
